For the first time in well over a year, a short hiring window for MPs has opened, and it closes on July 22nd, 2026.
If you have been interested in joining the Foreign Service, now is your chance. The hiring process has been drastically altered and I will go over it in a bit more detail later this month, but in summary, now when you apply on USA Jobs, you are directed to create an account on the PearsonVue website.
From there you will schedule an online exam that will test for Job Knowledge, English Expression, and Situational Judgment necessary to perform the functions of this position. This is a large change from the previous hiring process, where testing for English expression was not included, and the situational judgement and job knowledge were part of the oral assessment much later in the process.
